OUR COVID-19  DOMESTIC CLEANING  GUIDELINES

     BEFORE ARRIVAL AT CLIENT’S HOME

  • Team Leader to contact client 20 minutes before arrival + check if they are free from coronavirus symptoms and not shielding or self-isolating
  • Confirm to the client that the team are free from symptoms, not shielding and not self-isolating
  • Team Leader to ask if the client wishes to stay in the home or go out + confirm that client must stay in a different room to the cleaner
  • Make sure social distancing of at least 2 metres be maintained at all times
  • The teams will now consist of only two cleaners and the same two cleaners for every clean.

     ON ARRIVAL AT CLIENT’S HOME

  • Team Leader to ring doorbell/knock to announce arrival and check everything is ok and in place ready for the team to start
  • PPE in place
  • Team to thoroughly wash their hands before the clean with warm soapy water if not possible use hand sanitiser
  • All surfaces to be cleaned using regular products and then where possible, disinfected using a product that is certified to kill 99.9% of germs
  • Special attention paid to TOUCH POINTS (see checklist)
  • Team to clean in separate areas of the home (upstairs/downstairs)
  • Warm water (not hot and not cold) to be used when cleaning surfaces and mopping floors
  • Open windows where possible for ventilation
  • Avoid shaking dirty laundry and soft furnishings (bath mats & rugs)
  • Empty the vacuum cleaner after every clean

     ON LEAVING THE CLIENT’S HOME

  • Team Leader to check every room and make sure all bottles & equipment have been collected
  • Team to thoroughly wash their hands after the clean with warm soapy water if not possible use hand sanitiser
  • Close any windows (if home not occupied) or confirm with client
  • Let client know you are leaving and any specific information they may need to know
  • Pay attention to final TOUCH POINTS as you leave the home
  • Clean/Disinfect Caddies/bottles/vacuum machine/equipment + shoes
